I rent- pay $620.00 a month.
Salary- $48,000 a year- gross- don't know net. I only work part-time and write/ do book tours every other month. Its not much money; however, I love being able to tour so much and mengle with my readers. I also volunteer for several charitable organizations and attend galas/parties. I LOVE parties!!!

How much do you make?: $76,500 gross, ~ $50400 net btwn the two of us
How much is your house worth?: $74,900 appraised value in june, pd 63k in july
How much do you pay in property taxes?: $733 this year at the old assessed value of 56k

How much is your house worth?: $34,500 appraised value when I bought it
How much do you pay in property taxes?: $400.21 this year

My house is in a neighborhood of $90-$100k houses it is much smaller than most. I have a renovation plan which will cost about $20k. The appraiser said it would be worth about $85k after the renovations are complete. I considered taking out a loan for them but have decided to save up for them instead so it will be awhile.

How much do you make?: $37,000 gross, roughly $26,000 net (will be less next year due to increased insurance premiums)
How much is your house worth?: Renter (my share is $470/month), but homes in this area tend to go for $350,000 - $375,000
How much do you pay in property taxes?: That's what the landlord is for, silly!

How much is your house worth? Bought in 2001 for $114,000. Had revalued this year at $196,000. Borrowed extra $50,000 for renovations. Expected value after finished $300,000 +.
