  • Talk about a loss leader!

A few minutes ago, I heard snow shoveling. I thought it must be my next door neighbor as in this snow he, a still employed construction worker, must not have any work today. I looked out and saw his walkway, steps, and sidewalk all clean and finished. Only then did I notice that someone I did not know had cleaned my steps, walkway, and sidewalk and was currently shoveling snow at the next neighbor's house! This young man is working his way down the street doing everyone's shoveling just for the advertising value! He leaves a flier for lawn care and general labor at each house.

A lot of people ignore the kind of fliers he is leaving behind. I know because I see them melting limply in the weather on stair porch railings and doorknobs. On the back of his flier he hand wrote. "Free snow removal. Call Triple G." That is closest he comes to taking credit for the snow shoveling. A lot of my neighbors are going to be quite surprised. I know I was.

I think I do have some business for him one day in spring! He has definitely proven himself.

After doing my own snow shoveling last weekend, I can appreciate how much work that is. Very awesome. Hope you have a job for him soon.
