  • Beautiful things that are inexpensive

I have a real weakness for purchasing beautiful things simply because they are beautiful, even though they have no practical applications.

I wonder if there are beautiful things that are inexpensive.

Obviously in the eye of the beholder. What kinds of things do you like? There is nothing wrong with bringing beauty into your home. My mom collects and loves antiques and sees the beauty in them. They are nice, but I don't share her enthusiasm but that is for her. She goes to auctions, estate sales, and so forth and buys things inexpesnively (or not) for her collection. You can check ebay, etc.
For me, beauty is a drawing done by my child. I would rather frame something done by their hands than any great artist.

I was going to say the same! Many things in nature are beautiful: sunsets, sunrises, flowering and budding trees, wildlife.

          Art.

You can put a print of a $40 million work in your home for a couple hundred bucks. The print is a few bucks - the framing is what costs.

I found some beautiful paintings that I couldn't resist and was able to trade the painter for them. I designed a website for him and in exchange received over $4k worth in paintings. When you find something beautiful that you can't resist, the challenge is finding a way to buy it without breaking your budget!

My Kids. Watching them and playing with them doesn't cost me a bug but its the most precious thing in the world for me.

Ditto, my living room is decorated in all child's art work.
