I just started using a credit card for cash back rewards (It gets paid in full at the end of every month if not sooner).
I have a pretty detailed budget, and by the time Friday rolls around any expenses that came in below budget (groceries, gas, etc.) I end up using as extra spend money on the weekend. This normally amounts to no more than $25, but I still look forward to it.
Anyway, now that I'm using a credit card, I see that my purchases don't show up online until one, two or once even THREE days later. I try to keep a tally in my head, but before when I used my debit card almost everything was automatically deducted and I had a quick idea just by checking my account online. It drives me nuts because whatever I'm seeing online is essentially outdated information.
Are all credit cards like this? Or are there some that post the transactions quicker than others?
FYI I have a capital one no hassle credit card (the one that offers 2% on cash and groceries and 1% on everything else).
Sorry for the weird thread subject name. That's what I get for not checking my writing first before sending!
