Its a bmw 328i...it used to run really nice on 92 octane but the air pollution nazis got rid of it in CA. On 91 octane it knocks once in a while when its really hot out.

It'll still run on 87 because it has knock sensor and fuel/mixture and ignition time is controlled by the CPU so it'll retard the timing but then it feels like a gutless honda

Filled up about 20 mins ago.. at 2.67/gallon. I cringe at the CA prices but somehow I feel we east coasters will be there soon enough!

paid $2.62 on my lunch hour in my local town. Went to Kansas City this afternoon for a dr appt, on while leaving the city, Saw some at $2.97. Glad I got it when I did.

Friday I paid $2.37 with kroger discount
Monday I paid $2.55 at gas station (boss pays $25 a week for me)
Today I saw it at $2.75

$2.799 in Provo, UT. I've never paid that much before. It cost me $29.89 to fill up my geo prizm...sheesh.

I found Mobile @ $2.55. I also heard from a friend that one of the local Costco's ran out of petrol and cannot get more.

$3.09 last night in southern illinois. This is a place where the normal average wage is 6.50 an hour. I think that if it does not get better you will see people having to quit work. They are talking about it reaching $4 per gallon before it starts to drop. I sincerely hope not.

we actually have a place that is $3.59 today. everyone else around here is $3.09. wonder if they are price gouging, well if they are then the ones that investigate will find out.

Just got home and on the way I noticed that diesel was now over $3 here now and the premium gas was $2.99. The regular gas 2.55 yesterday and $2.63 today. It sure going up fast!

You Americans have it good. Sure the prices have gone up but it is much less than what we pay in New Zealand. We pay $154.90/Litre (NZD) Convert that to US gallons and you have $5.86/gallon (NZD). If we now convert this to the US dollar, it is <big><b>$4.10/gallon (USD). </big></b>

I can't believe how much the price has gone up in the past few months. Thank goodness, I able to ride a bicycle to work, my wife is able to walk to work and the kids walk to school.
