My pets mean more to me than just a good night's sleep. I would never have them put to sleep until it was their time. My pets are like children to me and apparently the OP feels the same way, as does her husband. I hope things work out for you.
Logging in...
Keep going to school or quit?

It's not like that for my Dog. He wanted to live and was eating, walking, and chilling out. So he needs to go potty more often, big deal. If you are 80 and need to go the bathroom and can't go by yourself easily, I hope no one puts you out of your misery.
But I think you need to look at the larger picture when deciding whether to finish up quickly or not.

I said you'd put a price tag on my grandmother's life likely...Plus you keep saying "put the dog down, you need sleep." Lovely... then when I address you tell that to my DH who is the primary owner of the dog that he gets up with? I know my DH, he'd punch you out for being a crass, unfeeling person.
And you aren't a dog person. Or else you wouldn't be suggesting putting a dog down over a night of sleep and incontinence. But you "need" sleep right?
I never said that, I said "he's tired but he's finishing up faster due to circumstances."
Back to the OP? What's the 5 year plan? How far from finishing are you?

Will say as diplomatically as possible:
obviously, off the cuff remarks to put a dog to sleep do not go over well.
That is such a personal decision and yes, many people place their loyal dog defininately on par with human companionship.
Every person knows their limits (and their loved ones') on how to proceed in this. Many consider it worth every sacrifice they may make in what to do for a pet. This also helps them in future decisions with pets in the same type of situation.
MBA: there might be a lot of unemployed MBA's right now, but if you want the career in finance this is almost a given you need one. OP, can you ask around and find out how quickly people are getting jobs with this? Are the new MBAers at your school landing choice jobs or even a job in their field.
Some people have mentioned and I agree - go part time or take one class a semester while working full time. You can always amp it up and go full speed at any time.

Here's an idea. Getting another job would be very helpful. But from experience, not working or involving yourself in something in the meantime can be detrimental. While you are looking for a FT job, see if you can get a part time job and go to school part-time. That way you have some income coming in and at the same time, you are working towards that MBA. And once that full time job opportunity comes up, you have your job and you don't have to quit school, you can still pursue it part-time (evening). : )
