What very little I know and have heard about him is pretty good. I heard his radio show once and the advice he dispensed was solid. I've also seen him one time on TV in a mini-news editorial.

I think the "problem" with Clark Howard-- if you can call this a problem-- is that he's comes across as a normal, almost bland, kind of guy. Kiyosaki is affable, his material is very easy to grasp, and he's also controversial. Dave Ramsey, effective but hard-lined and controversial. Suze Orman. Solid advice, but also has her own set of controversies.

Clark Howard? As far as I know, not controversial. Also, dispensing good advice sometimes means that the information may not be easy for ordinary people to grasp.... So when you put it all together-- a guy who basically gives good but not overly-simplistic advice, doesn't rub people the wrong way, and doesn't have an over-the-top personality-- I think what you end up with is doesn't get mentioned much? Not that that's a bad thing in my book...

That's my current impression of him anyway. He's good, but I don't know enough about him to be sure.

I try to listen to him whenever I get chance. Like his advice. No ill interests. Have always found his advise useful.

I used to get the "Clark Howard Section" tickets to Atlanta Braves games all the time. They were like $1 and went on sale an hour before the game, for seats on the end of the upper deck. He (Clark) would normally come up there and chit-chat with people during the game.

I like him too. I used to listen to his radio show religiously. Maybe he'll be mentioned more once his new TV show starts on Headline News.

I'm not all that familiar with him. I've seen his book in the bookstore but never read it. I've never heard or seen his show.

I've read one of his books and find him to be a consumer advocate. I'm a bit more conservative than him, but his advice is better than nothing.

Clark Howard is fantastic, in my opinion. He was the one who introduced me to a lot of helpful information (such as credit freezes). He has a very popular daily 2 hour podcast that you can subscribe to through iTunes. I believe he is about to start a new weekly show on CNN Headline News, so we may be hearing more about him!

He's very popular here in Atlanta but then again this is his home base.
Maat55 is right, he's more of a consumer advocate than a financial guru although he does offer excellent advice. He doesn't have a schtick or a gimmick but he's quite likeable.
