I signed up ages ago and never heard from them again. I should try contacting them again and see what they say.

I used to do it but I hardly ever got any work when I signed on. I know someone who does it and so far she has made like $10 for 6 hours of work. It is SO not worth it! Plus you mostly get kids trying to get you to help them cheat on their homework, lol.

Ugh that stinks...I wanted to try and do it. I just got accepted as a guide...I am going to give it a whirl and see what happens.

I am a ChaCha guide. It is great if you have the time. People say 3-9$ an hour, i found if i am lucky i can do 5$ an hour, but that all depends on the questions. What is great is you learn answers to all sorts of questions, and earning a quick penny while doing so. Let me know if you have any other questions though, i'd be happy to help!

I started today as a Chacha guide and made a $14.20. It took me around 3.75 hours...but I am new at it and only earning 10 center for every question I answer!

                It is fun though.

I've been working for ChaCha for a while now, my payout today (you're paid monthly on the 15th or "pay me now" which lets you transfer funds whenever you want) was $415 for about 85 hours of work (so, rounded up $5/hr, I do one to three hours a night but I burn out at about 40 min usually and I wander around the apt some). It's not a replacement or second job but something to do because I can, if that makes sense. Half hobby, half work. Answering questions takes me half a minute to 14 minutes, average of three min mostly so I can watch TV at the same time I do this and there are no set hours to work. 24/7 whenever you want to log in and "work".

Questions come from phone users who text or call in questions, mostly directions/business hours during the day, and whatever little bored teenagers have questions on (sex, last minute homework and more sex) at night and all sorts of random things thrown in. There's also a transcription job and categorizing the questions that come in too.

The company is legit, has backing from several well known people (pres of Amazon was/is one) and has partnered with Coke for delivering ads (w/their txt answers) earlier this year. They're not making a profit and burning through their seed money, in beta still, unorganized a bit but they're trying pretty hard I think! I wouldn't consider it a long term job or a replacement job if you need the cash. I think it's a lot of fun, but I like changing gears from finding the kids a joke to finding the weather and then looking up some celeb's stats in less then ten minutes.

There's two tests to take, one is a "physical" where you show you can type and retain info long enough to type it out and then you take a simulator test and they throw out sample questions to see how you handle them.

I also work for ChaCha. I had my first payout hit my bank account today -- $101.01 I'm not a guide, but I am an Expeditor - the person who cleans up questions and then directs them to the proper categories.

It is a lot of fun and can be done in my spare time when I'd be on the computer anyway.

I'm still going strong as a Chacha guide. I should average about $300 a month...which is AWESOME.

Of course, this is working about 3 hours a day and averaging about $10 a day. It isn't much hourly..but I am at home, on my pjs...and I would be on the internet anyway.

I am trying to think of what to do with the money. I know saving it would be the best thing...but my fiance's birthday is coming up Nov. 4th and what I wanted to get him is about $210. Then Christmas is coming and $300 would TOTALLY cover buying for everyone that I buy for...

We will see. If I use this as spending money, I will hardly have to touch my paychecks at all..which would be very cool!

Make sure you save for taxes too if you're going to go over the limit since we're independent contractors and need to report the earnings next year!

yes, i am a guide too, but i started out when it was 20 cents a query, and now it is only 10 cents! which is kind of a bummer. it seems like they have been offering a lot of bonuses, too, but on such a random basis it's highly unlikely to get any. still, a possible lucrative way to veg out!

i am not sure i will stick this out to get a $100 check. have any of you done the debt card option? does it take a long time to get set up?

I just became a ChaCha expeditor about a month ago. So far I have made 150 dollars. Not too bad considering I'd probably be sitting at my computer anyways.

I got the debit card. It took about 3 weeks to get my card. Some people have complained about having problems setting it up but I didn't have any. It took about 2 weeks to get my email from First IB to set up my account but then I got my Pay me now button and my card right away
