Jeffrey, I'm really beginning to think you post these questions purely for entertainment value, not that there is anything wrong with that.
It's amazing some of the questions that get sent to me. Here are some classics from a few years back

I should note that the questions that all of you see here are kind of skewed. The vast majority of the emails I get are for questions that have already been addressed in the forums, so I just send the person the link. The ones that end up getting posted here are ones where the person asks for help or questions where the person asking could benefit from a number of people's opinions.

That's great, Jeffrey. Reminds me of the stupid question people ask on cruises. Things like:

What time is the midnight buffet?
Will this elevator take us to the front of the ship?
In the photo gallery, how do I know which pictures are mine?
Does the water go all the way around the island?
Does the ship generate its own power?
Does the crew sleep on board?

My first thought when I say the title of this thread was "Why should they?" even before I read it. After reading it, I still say "Why Should They?"

Parents do not owe their children a living, especially once they have graduated HS and or reached 18.

These poor parents. They obviously did a lousy job raising this kid but that doesn't mean they should be stuck with them for the rest of their lives. I can't believe this kid expects money from mommy and daddy to help move out. All they need is a place to go or a discarded shopping cart for the posessions they want to shove around. Get a job and grow up and discover that money doesn't grow from the family tree.

I've been supporting myself since I was 17 and can't even comprehend this kind of attitude. I'm also tired of people in our society whose first line of defense for 'wrongs' against them is to SUE what's with that? This would make an excellent Judge Judy show if I remember her shows correctly (we haven't had TV for years).

LOL, my mom complains of the same thing, except her complaints stem from her parents now claiming to the family and their friends that they did, indeed, pay for her college tuition. Which is admittedly frustrating, considering my mom is the one who worked her way through school.

                This thread is funny.

What does your wife think about moving?

What does your husband think about moving?

What about the 22 yr old son you are trying to get to move out of "your house"

So, let me get this straight, your parents do not have enough food for your children though you live at home?

Ohh ohh!! I love this your 33 years old and wanting to go to college, YET you have worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years.

                  Did I say 33, I misspoke, it's 54

Why are you still at home anyway?? You earn $77k right?

                  PLEASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR MEDS!!!

myrdale, "questions" isn't one person. That is the user ID Jeffrey uses to post questions that non-board members send to him. So those topics all came from different people.

Ahhh thankyou for clarifying that. I feel like such a dork now. I thought the poor guy either had multiple personalities or was pullin our leg. I do apologize to any of the question petitioners I linked to above, but it really got sort of trippy reanding though the Questions's different post!

.... i'm sorry to laugh, but that's hilarious.... I think it was more the confusion over "Question"'s varied comments that is so funny, yet so understandable. I totally understand where you're coming from, I thought the same thing myself until after reading a couple of "Question"'s posts i realized that jeffrey mentioned that he (jeffrey) posted them himself... hahahaha thank you for the chuckle.

Rather than insulting you like most of the other people on this thread, I'm going to give you some advice. I, unlike others apparently, think your parents should help you pay the cost of moving. My advice is this: They obviously want you gone, so move out right away without their help. Do not initiate any contact with them. Don't answer phone calls. Don't return emails. Don't return letters. Don't ever visit, ever! Pick a place to move to that is NOT within driving distance (at least eight hours away). Basically just snub them. If they don't want to help you, they don't have to enjoy your company or share in your success. When you have more money, definitely don't give any to them. They didn't help you, so why should you help them? Problem solved.

Actually your parents are helping you by booting your bottom out. They are trying to teach you that you are a big boy and need to learn to make it on your own.

LOL I once thought it was a actual person as well;-)
I always look to see what kind of question and how many posts people have so I once thought questions was a long time poster and gave advice , then felt silly
