I probably do so many things that drive Hubby nuts. He probably has a big list. Hubby takes looonnnggg showers and I used to think about how much water that is. Or when he uses so much water shaving. But, the one that is the one that drives me nuts is leaving all three lights on in the living room after he finishes reading and is watching tv or especially NAPPING in the chair. It's a total of 6 light bulbs burning and the room is bright and hot.

My husband goes to Starbucks! That's not the part that bothers me...it's that I can't ever figure out if the checkbook is balanced or not because the receipts never clear the same time they're dated. He's been trying to refill a card and use that just because it's so frustrating not being able to figure out the smallest purchase!

I'm totally guilty of this...but it drives me crazy because it's a habit I wish I could break. I cannot fall asleep unless there is a lot of noise. So, every night, the ceiling fan runs, a seperate fan in the corner of the room runs (pointed toward the wall, I don't like the air blowing, I just like the noise), and a noisemaker makes the sound of rain....ALL NIGHT LONG all these things run. I also have to fall asleep with the TV on, although I always set the sleep timer so it shuts off after I've fallen asleep, but it still probably runs a good hour when I'm not listening to it.

Can you set the other things on timers, to shut off after you're asleep?

I am pretty happy with my habits and I try not to waste money. My husband does make too many trips to town to pick up materials and I think that wastes gas!

              Check this product out.

It's a little button you put by your sink that makes a pump run water through a temp sensor until it hits a specific temperature (I believe its 90 degrees). The water that isn't hot enough is pumped BACK into the water heater so none is wasted. Then, after a few seconds of the pump running, you turn on your faucet and BAM, hot water.

Faster Hot Water From Your Tankless or Storage Water Heater

I haven't tried it as I live in an apartment, but I'm fascinated by the idea.

I'm working to adjust my diet so I eat healthier. I try to find recipes that I think I'll like before making anything, but sometimes it turns out my judgment was wrong. I hate throwing away food, but I also know I won't eat it if it doesn't taste good to me.

We installed something similar, and love it, love it, love it! Ours doesn't have a button, you set it up for the times of day you know you'll want hot water quickly, and a thermostat in the unit cycles it when needed.
