I'm bilingual, but I took the handle of a 1930s/1940s movie actress. I used this name on a very busy forum until I was found out by a surviving relation of Ms. Goddard! My real surname is not French, but Belgian.

Sure, you can be both. I meant to ask if you spoke French at all. In fact, I'm also bilingual.
