  • John Mccain doesn't understand Economics!

I thought anyone thinking about voting for mccain should watch this video first:

YouTube - John McCain doesn't understand economics

WO, If Mccain is in charge you would be lucky to find a cd paying 2%!

I would like to hear the whole comment instead of the sound bite. I personally don't think any of these people are experts in any fields. That's why they have advisors. Most of them only have a direction to go in.

To be honest with you; you shouldn't trust any of them with your money. They're politicians not bankers.

Based on the sub-prime fiasco, I don't think we should trust bankers with our money.

I remember watching the original debate on cnbc. The question from the debate was "do you think fed chairmen bernanke has cut interest rates enough" Mccain responed and said he wasn't really the expert to say but then he went on to say that it is good that the fed is cutting interest rates and that he would like it if they were at 0%! There was also a debate on msnbc and tim russert gave john mccain one of his own quotes that was made one month prior to the debate where mccain admitted that he lacked sufficient knowledge in economics. Mccain responed to russert saying that he never said he lacked knowledge in economics and wen't on to say that he was well versed in economics. The video from that debate can be seen here:

I might add to you an exception in Ron Paul!

I personally think that Ron Paul has it right on alot of positions. He has a clear understanding of monetary issues and what can work and what can't. There were just some issues that totally sunk him and we also don't have enough people that will vote their conscience. Most are going for who they think is electable.

What's the punchline? In reallity, the government is incapable of managing money wisely. They are too imune to large numbers and spending money they don't earn.

The whole premise of concervatism is that the less they have, the better. They all know that the national debt is beyond fixing. Economic colapse is now inevitable without a serious change in our countries mentality towards consumption.

I think about how this could effect me. My business is not of the neccesity nature, so I may be in big trouble during an depression. Even though I am debtfree, I still have a mortgage and living expenses to pay for. My savings will not save me during a long depression.

I believe many families will have to live together to survive. This could just be chicken little mentality, but the national debt is huge and the desire to fix it is none.

I think that they should have a basic health insurance plan like some have and if they want something better - they should pay for it.

maat55: I have one more for you.

I can understand paying for your secret service when you are in office. Why do we have to pay for the rest of their lives and their families. I think to pay for secret service when they are out of office and on an official duty is acceptable. We only need to protect the one in office. Some of these people are making astronomical amounts of money today and its ridiculous.

We need to revamp our system and stop treating our ELECTED officials like they are ROYALTY and especially in times of national financial criseses.

Unfortunatly, being president earns you many enemies here and abroad, remember Sadam tried to kill Bush senior. Also, many lowlifes tring to put their names in the history books would showup.
