Oh my goodness, its the same thing at my mall for the same product. Those people are annoying and persistent. They hounded us each time we walked by. I felt like yelling, "We're the same people who turned you down ten minutes ago!"

WOW! He actually grabbed your bag?? I would have had a fit, right then and there! He'd have been lucky to not get punched in the face for that! lol

I don't know when it will be, but one of these days I am going to go to the mall and let myself be engaged by these Dead Sea cosmetics people. I'm curious about what their approach is. I just can't imagine feeling pressured.

Further, I wonder---how does this company get employees or owners-sellers who will all be so obnoxiously aggressive? If I were in training to treat potential customers that way, I would drop out of training. But they manage to find people who they can train to use those tactics. I wonder if this is a franchise and when one buys into it, one buys into the sales techniques, too.

I finally bought once when the guy lowered the price to $20. I felt that was reasonable for the product. But the original price was like $60. I just wondered, "How many people actually get suckered in to pay that much when I know they still make a good commission on the discounted price?"

Since then I have always shopped with my young kids (7 and 4) and with them literally dragging me to The Disney Store, I don't get stopped anymore.

This all sounds very entertaining. I will have to look for one at the mall down the street. Hopefully there will be an unoccupied bench nearby. I'll buy a bag of carmelcorn or a cinnabon and enjoy the show.

The more you shop, the more you will buy. Plain and simple. Doesn't matter what it is , who is selling it, etc. If you put yourself in front of any merchant or merchandise, you are much more likely to buy. Not just these products but anything from them to clothing, food, furniiture, retail and groceries. If you dont' want to spend, then simply stay home!
Otherwise, if you go out to the mall for "recreation", something to do, etc, you WILL spend money.

If these sales people and kiosk owners are getting physically aggressive and in your face, maybe you should complain to the mall management.

Wow, guys, stay out of the malls. If I think I just have to "shop" I hit a thrift store, no danger of being accosted by a cosmetics salesperson there, ha-ha. That or a dollar store. I'm glad I'm an old lady now (53), no urge to buy beauty products or clothes much anymore but I admit I'm a sucker for kitchen stuff. Again, thank God for the thrift places. I've done very well there.

Anyone that approaches me in the mall or on the street gets a simple "No thanks" response from me.

Ugh, I had dealings with these people too, last Christmas (2006), if I remember correctly. I just stopped to see what it was all about and I got pounced on! It was like some sort of wild feeding frenzy. It was sooooo hard to get away, even just walking away rudely. I never have dealt with such pushy salespeople in my life.

The girl did rub some lotion in my hands (all the while telling me how great it was and giving me this huge spiel about how they were there from overseas to sell these great products) I wound up walking away with the girl chasing after me trying to buff my nails

I had dealings with these people too! They are here in our shopping malls as well! They want $100 per jar, try to get you to buy. As I don't carry a credit card nor have enough money on me so I can just say no!
One time I had my niece with me, she just let them do there stuff then said she would called back to-morrow, she caught her plane that night for home in another state.
