  • Are you ready to downsize your house?

Have a look at this tiny 1912 house for sale in Toronto. 300 sq feet and the lot it is on is just 7.5 feet wide.

In college, I lived in a little place not much bigger than that! Couldn't do it now. I have too much "stuff." Then again, I should get rid of a lot of "stuff."

Oh, I see I overstated the size of the lot. It is only 7 feet 3 inches wide.

Amazing. That's almost 40K more than we paid for our house in 1994. And our place is bigger. Heck, I think our driveway is bigger.

2 years ago in LA I rented a bachelor which is an apartment without a kitchen. It was 150 sq ft over a garage in a building. I think it looked smaller than that.

So I take it your bachelor didn't cook, so it didn't matter anyway?

I kind of like it. You definately couldn't be claustrophobic in it though.

I could live there if I was single. It is larger than my first apartment and might be larger than my 2nd apartment.

Wow! Looks like a dollhouse. The lot is only 7.5 wide but over 100+ deep. I am planning to downsize in the spring. But, that is way too small for a family of 5!
