1. Price. Those suckers are expensive. Several hundred dollars just for the phone, not counting the monthly fees.
2. Contract. I'm only 6 or 8 months into a 2-year contract, so I'm not eligible for an upgrade for a long time.
3. New Technology = BUGS. I'm an Apple lover, but they are no more perfect than anyone else. I would never buy brand new technology without giving some time for the kinks to get worked out.
4. Size/Design - As neat as the thing looks, I don't think it would serve me well. I carry my cell phone in my pants pocket, which is why I had a small Samsung flip phone and now have an LG flip phone. Small, compact and being a flip phone means the screen and keypad are protected in my pocket. It doesn't appear that the iPhone would be safe if I just dropped it in my pocket.
5. Did I mention price? My current and my previous phones were both free after rebates. We recently splurged and got DW a new phone for a whopping $29.99, the most we've ever spent on a cell phone, so I don't think a $600 iPhone (or whatever price it is) will be in our future anytime soon, if ever.
