Now, to be fair, sometimes I have to go over $130. Like when I have to buy baby pull-ups and baby wipes in the same week ($25 - $30 extra).
This doesn't count school lunches.
I know people that spend $200+ per week to feed 3 people.
How do I do it?
Planning.
Every Saturday, my wife and I sit down with a piece of paper and plan each meal. Write down the ingredients, along with other misc items we need and buy that. Only the stuff on the list.
Most of the time, I stay between $130 - $140 per week.
Once, I spent $95 for the entire week because we had some ingredients already.
I buy bulk meat (lean meat too) and freeze it.
Anyone have similar food stories/tips?
