Ah, I wasn't thinking about the actual penny in the hand. Anyway, a penny saved is a penny earned. This reminds me of an article saying that if you are in a tax bracket of 25%, a penny saved is actually 1.33 penny earned because when you earn 1.33 penny you pay 0.33 as tax and keep the 1 penny after tax.

If you drop a penny on the floor in your home don't pick it. Kick it under a piece of furniture or into a corner of the room out of site. After cleaning, throw it back down. You will always have money.
