    Goto eBay and buy a downloadable e-book for a penny.
    Of course, you would then have to mail that penny as payment, and that'll cost you $.39 ($.41 soon).

            Then you haven't actually used a penny. You've simply spent $.01.

              Weigh down hems from dresses. Open up the hemline and drop a penny in.

              Glue one onto a shoe for a tap dance shoe.

                No pennies in this country, but a friend who's into Wicca gave a couple of spells which can be used with any coin:

                1. Slip a penny under a green doormat with the word "welcome" on it, to invite money into your house.

                2. Sew a penny into a bag made from green cloth while reciting
                This coin makes me rich indeed;
                I have all I want or need

                Put it into your purse or pocket whenever you go shopping.

                (Hey, I might try those myself!)

                  Ah, I wasn't thinking about the actual penny in the hand. Anyway, a penny saved is a penny earned. This reminds me of an article saying that if you are in a tax bracket of 25%, a penny saved is actually 1.33 penny earned because when you earn 1.33 penny you pay 0.33 as tax and keep the 1 penny after tax.

                      An old wives tale that works....

                      If you drop a penny on the floor in your home don't pick it. Kick it under a piece of furniture or into a corner of the room out of site. After cleaning, throw it back down. You will always have money.

                        Put the penny on a photo and trace lightly around the edge, and then cut on the line, to make round corners on the photo.
