  • Ways That You Can Save That Take Less Than A Minute

One issue many people have is they believe saving money takes a lot of time and effort. What are the ways that people can save money that take less than a minute of time to implement?

For example, it takes less than five seconds to switch the nob on your washing machine from hot to cold.

What other ways do you know that will save anyone money that take less than a minute to implement?

    1. Keep fast food coupons in your car. Whenever I get those I make sure to put them in my car because there are times when I just want to pick up something to eat.
    2. I keep bottled water and soda handy as well. When the kids and I are heading out somewhere, we just grab one and it saves us from having to stop and buy a drink somewhere. That is one savings that can really add up.

When you are cleaning up after supper, box some leftovers for your lunch tomorrow. Or if you are eating out and don't eat everything, have the restaurant box your leftovers for your lunch.

Pay your bills online or by phone, save a stamp, and it takes same amount of time as writing a check.

Walk around the house, unplug the items you are not using and turn off the extra lights.

Whenever I watch tv, I turn it off during the commercial, and if I forget to turn it back on, oh well, save even more electricity.

In the summer time, I make sure I carry a bottle of water with me in my car, but in case I run out of water, I just go thru the drive-tru and ask them to refil it.

Packing lunch takes a little more tnan 1 min, but it well worth the 2-3 $ you save.

I do my laundry only when I know it's going to be no rain. Checkin the weather online takes about a minute, but it saves me almost $1, because than I can hang it outside.

Buy store-brand items at the grocery store.
Choose the cheaper gas station in your neighborhood, often next to or across the street from the pricier one.
Have a club card from each supermarket where you shop.
Don't order soda or alcohol when you go out to eat. Drink water instead.
Adjust the thermostat by a degree or two.

Turn the hot water heater off except when you are taking a shower or running the dish washer.

I eat half my meal at a restaurant, the rest is for lunch or leftovers for my dogs.

Make and bring your coffee. I love my travel mug and make a small pot of coffee "to go" before I leave anywhere. I am just one of those people who likes to sip coffee. It has been years since I bought a cup of coffee at a convenience store.

The first one that came to my mind is saying NO. When I feel like splurging or my little one asks for an extra treat when we are out, saying NO can save alot!

Before leaving the house, pace some snacks crackers with cheese or peanut butter and bring some water bottles. Include raisins as well. It takes less that a minute to do and saves time and money by not stopping at fast food restaurants.

When I go to the drive thru window at the bank. I always turn off my motor to save on gasoline if I am stopped more than 30 seconds.

For those of who work outside the home, buying snacks and taking them to work can be money saving instead of hitting the vending machine.

I know, if we are going to be riding around looking at property, I always take some ice water and peanut butter crackers, just in case!
