I would have to say books. I buy them, lay them to the side to read when I have the time and sometimes never do. Which is why I started going to the library because not only was I not spending the money, but because of the due date, I knew that I would have to read the book.

About the mandolin, I received one from my son around the holidays and I really like it for french fries. It cuts them to the small size and they cook faster. We really use it for that. I want to experiment with other things like squash and the like.

You know, this thread has given me an idea. I think I will list our mandolin on ebay. Less clutter, more money. Sounds like a plan to me.

Why don't the rest of you start listing those "bought but never used items" as well.

Yeah, the only thing the insurance I pay for every month (life, homeowners, and car) has done for me it give me peace of mind and I really hope that continues. As to what I've bought that I never use I would have to say fabric. I will use it however.

Gee, you guys are lightweights! I have a whole basement full of barely used junk! As the weather gets nicer I am getting more motivated to get it gone!

I use everything. Including all the nice towels, sheets, plates etc. Anything decorative has to serve a purpose. Can't stand trinkets.

                    exercise equipment, some fabric, juicer
this made me think- either sell it( thnx steve), give it away or use it- so I've reorganised the TV room so that I can use the exercise stuff more easily- lets see if this works...

I only bought a 12 pack... those lil umbrellas you put into mixed drinks. I can't decide if I should try to sell them at a yard sale or just give them away to someone as a free gift (I'm thinking the latter).

Too bad. We love ours. I make great lemon sorbet and DD loved my mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Skirts! A few times now, I've purchased a cute skirt because it was on sale, but never wear them. The only skirt I've worn in the past few year was one I got free--it was a hand-me-down.

Now that the weather's getting nicer I should bust out those skirts & either wear them or sell them.

Unfortunately, it has to be clothes. Some of them I bough off rack or during sale. Looks good definitely but I just have no idea when to wear them! But will make some plans on it soon
