We use to really decorated the outside with lots and lots of lights all in the shape of christmas trees. We then added some moving deer that lit up. We had a live tree everyyear and I have never needed to buy ornaments, I have plenty of them.
Last year, we decided to cut down, so we did not put up all the lights outside. We did put out the moving deer and I bought a lighted snowman. I might just add one thing like that a year. Also, no more big tree, I bought a small fake one last year. There is just the two of us for thanksgiving and christmas.

WE invested in a fake tree long ago. & bought a lot of ornaments on sale in the januaries of past.

Not in our budget these days.

Now that I have most of my "stuff", I spend less than $30 each year, that's mostly to replace broken/burned out items or to replace something that has become really out of date. Although I may buy a new pre-lit fake tree after Christmas this year, my current one was bought when I lived in a tiny condo, now I have large living room with 9 foot ceilings...and that means more ornaments and garland and...well, we'll have to see how good the post Christmas cleance sales are, I guess!

$0 here too. Dh and I used to get a real tree when we had our own house, but now that we are back with my parents, we have a fake one. They do NOT like live trees, and it IS their house
I also spent a lot of time finding great decorations at yard sales after DH and I were married (2000) - we have way more now than we can use (since we have combined households) - so most of our stuff is in storage. I would be fine never buying any more decorations, except to replace lights and garland (we've had the same gold garland for at least 10 or more years though).

we spend zero since we have a small fake tree with lights (it's fiber optic, lol) already in it.... we picked it up free in it's box next to our dumpster... it works great too.... go figure huh?...
it's good enough for our tiny space right now...we'll probably spend more when we have kids tho... i used to love decorating the tree when i was younger... since, like jodi, we are living in someone elses house there are plenty of decorations so we spend $0... we will probably stock up at garage sales and i will cross stitch some ornaments eventually...

Less than $50, would be my guess.

We have an artificial tree. Last year I didn't even bother to "undecorate" it. We just covered it with a soft bag left over from our last move and put it downstairs. Now we'll have an instant Christmas tree this year!

I usually buy one or two decorative doo-dads and maybe a Christmas CD, though I think my collection is about complete.

I don't think we spend anything.
We don't put up a tree. We have a Nativity that the gifts go beside. We make our own wrapping paper, which this year will mean buying tissue paper to stamp on. I do make a gingerbread house with DS2 so that is an expense.
