    Re: would you...if you could?

I'm a borderline person - maybe I'd like to, maybe I'd rather stay private. Somewhat depends on where a meet-up would be held AND whether I'm feeling private that week! Yeah, I know...another 'different' one. I'm the one who rsvp's a maybe to events. I showed up at a class reunion at the last moment, happened to get the mood together at the deadline, but before that it was a definite no.

So, put me down for a Definite Maybe!

Wait, wait -- we're getting paid to eat? I'm so there....I can see it now, a "who can eat the most beans" contest!

        Re: would you...if you could?

I like meeting people as long as I don't have to travel. Travelling costs too much for me.

Anybody here wants to visit College Station, TX?

The cost of getting together would be a hard pill for many of us to swallow! I meet up with some one on my dog chat once at the Malamute Nationals when they were in Utah. It was fun! So I don't see why it wouldn't be with you guys. It's like actually putting faces to the personalities you already know. That being said I think it would be hard for all of us to get together....internet has a way of making the world seem much smaller than it is.

I like the idea of the lottery winner hosting the party....so who plays the lottery....too unfugal an adventure for me.

              Re: would you...if you could?

I guess I am one of the few who wouldn't want to do it.

You all seem pretty cool, and it would be fun to see what you look and sound like, and to learn more about you. But I like the anonymity we have -- it gives us the ability to share very personal details. You can't compare it to Disney or doggy lover sites; I don't think those posters reveal information that is as nearly as intimate as what we share here.

I like keeping a bit of mystery to it. I bet if we met and then came back to the site, it wouldn't have the same "feel."

I'd be up for it. I'd like to finally be around other people who understand the concept of "living within one's means."

It is funny, but beebopblue lives in the same town that I do. We had lunch yesterday for our local forum, but she did not come. She is one of the few that would not like to meet. I don't know her cause she is much younger than me. (I just found this out today) That's ok, but I think it would be a lot of fun!!

I'd be up for it. We could all clip coupons, talk about MMA rates and see who's going to ask for separate checks at dinner

Yes, it would be alot of fun! You can never have too many friends. Just meet in a public place for lunch or something. Or, perhaps plan to meet at a seminar.

Hmm... Maybe a few of us can give a seminar and make it some sort of a frugal workshop reunion type of thing.

Sure, I guess. I don't know how many people live around me though. I live in the panhandle of WV about 25 miles due west of Pittsburgh PA.
