    Re: Do you buy pop?

Geez, at least at the end of this there are a few addicts of soda. Sigh, I try to give it up but just can't. DH has a can everyday and usually a can or two at night. We usually do the half gallons though. Considering both of us grew up drinking rabid amounts of soda, I really wonder about the weight effects. DH is skinny barely BMI of 19, I'm a bit chubby and could stand to lose a few lbs BMI 24. So I'm not exactly sure, but it is our major vice. I will never add up what we pay in soda because it's sad.

But it does pay, we only buy when 12 packs are $2, and load up each of us individually at the store the whole week of sales. Then DH used to in grad school take cases and leave them under his desk. People would buy it off of him and it would pay for his soda habit. Now though since he's a "professional worker" he can't do that. But we still have a closet full of pop.

And our parents came over and laughed their heads off, it looks like both our parents closets at home. Stacks of soda at least 4-5 cases high. Everyone knows in our house if soda's not in the fridge, go grab more. sigh.

In fact I'm going to grab a can now.

Don't buy it, drink it, or serve it.

I find soft drinks to be almost painfully sweet. I also find the flavors to be curiously medicinal. Paregoric, anyone?

I buy soda. It is the only junk that is tied into our 300 a month grocery budget! Long live soda!!

Here Pop or soda is known as "soft drink" or in our house "fizzy drink". I buy fizzy drink in little bottles. 300ml. They have lids so that you can have a sip and then put it back in the fridge. To get fizzy drink in our house you have to pay money for it. The kids do chores to earn money. One of the items they can spend money on is fizzy drink. I rarely drink it myself and the kids would have one or two a week at the most.

I must be the only one here that drinks pop {PEPSI} 2 a day. I know I have to stop but it is addictive.

I'm on a soda kick again here too. Then again when you have lil ones who aren't always feeling the best & you are a sahm you have to truck thru the day despite having inadaquate amount of sleep & boy a caffinated soda helps me thru the day as I don't drink coffee.

                    Re: Do you buy pop?

I buy a 6 pack of Diet Pepsi a week. Hubby loves his 6 pack of Vernors. We drink Dasani water...3 - 24 bottle cartons a month or maybe 4. We both drink 3 bottles of water each a day and 1 Diet Pepsi and Vernors daily. Yes I know it isn't good for me but then neither is a lot of food at the grocery store that contains a lot of salt! Salt will bloat you and cause problems with blood pressure and swelling feet. So will fast food.

Going to get me a Diet Pepsi.... brb

I'm a bit of a soda addict, though I'm trying to cut down a bit. My wife jokes that I should start a group called Coca Colaholics Anonymous

We buy pop and it's a staple. Only when on sale though, I never pay more than $5 for a 24 pack (or $2.50 for a 12 pack). We do drink diet, but I still want to try and cut back, all that artificial sweetener can't be good!

We buy sodas only on sale for .99 for 2 liters. Diet pop for me and regular for dh. I am weaning myself off of it though by alternating one day of soda and the next day only water.

I only buy pop when I'm having a get-together and we need something to mix our vodka with. But even then we often use juice instead.

A former co-worker of mine has a boyfriend who loves his pop, but she wanted him to break the habit. So she told him that everytime he drinks a pop, he has to eat a salad, lol. It helped him cut back a lot.

I drink water all day. We use diet sprit to make mixed drinks with, in the evenings. I try and stock up when they are on sale too.
