The gift I think will be most appreciated this year? Being able to eat solid food. Someone I know needs replacement dental work and lacks the means. I'm covering the cost.

we're hoping all of our gifts will be appreciated but the most will probably be the perfume we bought his mom... it's not sold to the public anywhere in hawaii so it was a bit of extra trouble and expense but we know she loves it and has completely used up the last bottle we gave her a few years ago for mother's day...

This is the first time that I'll be giving gifts during Christmas using my own savings, (not money my parents budgeted/allotted for Christmas giftgiving) so that thought makes it special atleast for me. Whatever the presents will be, they all will come from my heart. My mom needs a new cellphone, so I'll surprise her with one.

We have two special projects underway...my parents have videotaped every Christmas since they got a camera, back in 1980 or so. DH and I are planning to transfer the Christmas tapes over to DVD for them. They have wanted to have this done for years, so I think they will really enjoy it.
We are also collecting recipes from family member in order to make a cookbook for my brother and his new wife. I have asked each person to contribute one special recipe that they think they will really enjoy. Since they both enjoy cooking, I hope this will mean a lot of them.
