Worked out my budget tonight...

Turns out I had an extra $724 pop up. It feels great knowing that I "found" $700 in my monthly income. I am excited.

Out of curiousity, how much money did you "find" in your monthly income that you didn't know was there when you first started budgeting?

My last round of budgeting - probably $500/month. We hadn't sat down and done a budget in about 7 years.

Sadly, when we were starting out, mine usually end up the other way around, where we realized that we spent more than we were bringing home!

Ah... I don't miss those days.

I agree with boe, the only money I find extra is when my electric bill is low.

I'm with Boe and Ima, I keep a pretty tight watch on the budget...that's a nice feeling though to find that much extra

Wow, I wish I found money like that. Usually when I do my monthly budget I find that I have forgotten something and have less money. Congrats on your discovery .

My budget is fairly accurate. I came ahead around $80 this month. That's all that was left after paying all the bills, funding all my investments and savings, and having my fun.
