I recently came across a site where you can buy restaurant coupons (say $25 value for $10). You can use these coupons only for food and only on certain days in the week. Has anyone tried such coupons? Are they good? Are there any hidden restrictions?

Re: How good are Restaurant Coupons?
I find that they have a limited selection, but it is a decent deal if they have a restarant that you already dine at. I've never had a problem using my certificates, but read the offer carefully. Some of them require a minimum purchase and the limits they place on them are enforced.
I tend to use the coupons in the Entertainment books a lot more. These are geared more at family restaurants and I've never had a problem with them although they do ask to see your membership card most of the time. Many are 2 for 1 deals.

Re: How good are Restaurant Coupons?
We've been using them and find that they work well. We don't have an entertainment book for our area (but we did buy one for Austin since we are through there every 5-6 weeks). So this is the only way to save money eating out here.
DH follows the deal sites and buys them when they are really on special so we come out even better. We've even found 2 new restaurants that we really like and one is so inexpensive we can eat there less expensively than eating at fast food (as a matter of fact, we have to work to spend enough for the certificate, but then we have leftovers for 2 more meals).
