Does anyone carpool to work? I'm thinking of maybe trying to join a carpool, but I'm not sure if it will be worth the inconvenience. Does anyone do this or have experience on the pros and cons to this?

I have a bit of experience. Aside from the obvious advantages here are some disadvantages:
Mixed schedules- your shifts over, time to go home but partner is still working, wait..
Annoying carpoolers- You end up carpooling with someone that eventually really irritates you to be around with.
Bad driver- The person designated as driver is always late messing everyone else's schedule up.
Sidetracked- Coworker needs to make a quick grocery stop or whatnot, you disagree but group agrees request overridden.
Use Google to find more information.

I agree that there are disadvantages but you should also note the advantages as well. Carpooling will help you save money. You won't be liable for paying the gas and parking alone. The cost will be shared. Also, carpooling is better for the environment as it will help reduce the Greenhouse Gas emissions.

I used to when I lived 20 plus miles from work, but it got to be a hassle. My carpool partner was often running late and unreliable. I've since moved and only have a 8 mile drive to work now, so there is no point in trying to carpool anymore.Brian
