Re: What do you do for a living (work, home business, other?)

I get to work on may passion. I help people with their budgets.

It's amazing, a week never goes past without someone coming along with a new challenge that has to be met. The last few years have really shown me that no two people are the same and that no two people see money in the same way.

The other benefit is that I get is variety. Today we've had people from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and they're just the people I've noticed visiting the site. We generally help people from about 40 countries each month.

Federal civil service for the US Air Force. I am a contract specialist. I negotiate and write contracts with defense contractors to provide the warfighter with the best, most affordable armament systems. I answer to two customers, the taxpayer and the warfighter.

I have held this position for nearly 6 years and probably will be in this field for the rest of my career!

      DH is a firefighter/EMT.

I am a stay at home dad and my wife works as a nurse manager at a local hospital. I put my wife through nursing school and then she put me through school where I got a degree in Mathematics. I just graduated this past year and we had our first child this year too. She makes a lot more money than I could in this area so she works and I stay home. We both wanted to have at least one parent home with our child and feel really lucky that we are able to do so. When she gets older I would like to become a mathematics teacher.

Sounds like a good plan. I don't know where you live, but be sure you keep your teaching certificate up to date so when you decide to be a teacher, you are still eligible.

I run the treasury and risk management operations for a large computer company. So I run the banking, investments, foreign exchange hedging, lending, insurance and just recently picked up safety and security for the company as well.

I worked in a shelter for runaway and homeless teens when I graduated from college then I moved with my fiancee to a new state. I was a preschool teacher for the first year here and now I'm in graduate school, full time, for School Psychology. I have an assistantship in the financial aid office. My two full years of classes and one full year internship will be over in May 2009, then I can finally work as a school psychologist.

Fiancee is in his 2nd year of his PhD program in physics.

I use to be a bookkeeper before there were computers and we did everything by hand.
