Re: What is the perfect temperature for you?
72 degrees, low humidity, light breeze and mostly sunny (a few snow white clouds against the crisp blue sky)
Lawn newly mowed, leaves turning colors, grilling favorite food, beer in hand, friends over, with a football game 10 minutes away is the ultimate fall afternoon!

For me the perfect temperature is 80-85 degrees. That's warm enough to be comfortable while lightly dressed, in pajamas, or totally naked. It's a bit cool when you're soaking wet right after a bath, but not cold enough to turn up the heat. 80-85 is also cool enough that I don't feel overheated while doing physical work or exercising.
Reality Check: In the warm seasons, I keep my airconditioning set at 85-90 most of the time and turn it totally off when I'm not at home. In the cool seasons, I keep my heat set at 65-70 while I'm awake and bundle up. At night and while I'm at work I let my house's temp drop to 60. And I don't turn the heat up during hour or so it takes me to wake up, take a bath, and get ready for work, so my morning routine is rather chilly in the wintertime; but in a way I find that a fun challenge most of the time. I'm also a great believer in opening windows and turning off the heat/air whenever the outside temps are reasonable, even if that means letting the inside temp rise to 95 or drop to 55.

Outdoors? 74 and sunny. Light breeze, low humidity, low pollen count.
Inside? About 68 regardless of season. However, I can't afford that, so we go for about 72 day/68 night for summer and 64 day/60 night.

Anywhere between 70 and 80 is the best temperature. We keep it about 65-68 during the cold season and wear sweaters and socks. In the summer we keep it about 78-80. But if the temperature outside is less than 90, I just keep all the windows open and if I get too hot, I just turn the fan on in that room.[COLOR=Black]

Re: What is the perfect temperature for you?
I have to agree with you greedy!! I can't stand it to be too hot! About 70 is the perfect temp. for me. I sweat, but I keep the house 76-77 in the summer and about 63 in the winter. That is why i can't stand florida, it is hot there all the time. (and humid)

55 yes...95 and they would have to call the coroners!!!!
FWIW I'm constantly amazed at all the people who think the south is too hot and love those cold yankeeland winters. I guess it just depends on where you were born and how warm your individual metabolism is.

Mathew: you must have been up around Dallas huh. That was awful.
We coast dwellers have the humidity, too. Having come from other parts of the country, and drier ones at that, I hate high humidity as much as heat. I love in the 75-80 range with less than 50% humidity.

Re: What is the perfect temperature for you?
Mathew,
I think it hit 100+ here in central Wisconsin 1 day this year. Last summer it took until Sept 8th to hit 90 for the first time all year!
I always say you can dress warmer, but you can only get so cool even when you are naked during the summer.

Re: What is the perfect temperature for you?
Honestly I am rather comfortable in a wide range of temperatures, though I tend to get cool faster than most, I also tend to grab a sweater. And I like curling up on the couch with a blanket to work on the computer
My house is 82-65..I prefer it less than 80 and more than 70.
