I save my sanity. This past month I've let my youngest (CashHappySon) sleep in during the morning hours since we've constantly butted heads the last year or so! He works in the afternoon/evening hours and until he's ready to move away from home it is easier for me to enjoy the quiet morning hours with him sleeping instead of up arguing! No matter what I say he has a grumble or argument or is wanting to buy something.
..auugghghhhhhhh...he's in crazymaker teen mode.
Letting him sleep is the easy way out I know, but for right now EASY is feeling pretty darn GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!
Actually studies show teens need almost as much sleep as toddlers..and they seem to get the best 'REM' in the early AM..which needs to be followed by 'deep slumer' or something like that, I can't remember where the study was, but so long as your kid is getting some social time with the family, I would let him sleep..I plan on letting mine when are that age, and I wish I was allowed when I was that age! (who am I kidding I would rather I was sleeping right now!)
The best thing my parents ever did for me was to kick me out of the house. I was 21 and a 2-time college dropout, with not much going job wise or motivation in life. I had good work ethic, but a better party ethic.
So they tossed me out and let me sink or swim. Mind you they did not do this with my older step sisters who I have complained about in the past many times for being to dependent on mommy to bail them out financially time after time.
If he is 18+ either he is responsible enough to live on his own or better learn quickly because you are cutting him off.
Ohhhh never fear he is working on stocking his Moving Out Fund with all the extra cash his Mo...thhhhhhhh...eeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr can convince him to stow away.
Back to the original question, I save all the yogurt cups that come with lids. I reuse them for Jell-O or pudding to take with me to work. Serving size is perfect for me and it’s easy to wash when you’re done.
I did a paper on teens and sleep issues in high school, and it was very hard for me as a teen going to school that started at 7:30 AM (the elementary school started at almost 9). I would have flipped the start times, but the school wanted to cater to the jocks so they could practice after school.
I save Grocery bags for diapers. Reuse plastic water bottles to feed my plant (the same one usually). I have tons of newspaper, coupons and magazines. When I sold AVON, the boxes were great use for moving.
I just put dirty stinky diapers in the grocery bag and tie it and go throw it in the garbage outside so it won't stink up my whole back yard. If I would just drop it in the garbage can in my bathroom or kitchen, it will stink up the whole house. But did you mean you use bags instead of diapers?
Is there a certain way to tie them so they dont fall off? Or do you just tape them?
Heh, yeah I read the question and was wondering if it was serious or not..I do know of someone who used something like a grocery bag for a diaper cover..not the absorbant part, but the cover...
