      My first thought was chocolate!

Also, periodic haircuts, occasional hair coloring, and...more chocolate.

buying boneless skinless chicken instead of buying the frozen kind and peeling all the skin and fat off...

Going to a unique coffee house and order a cinnamon cappuccino and at the same time meet up with a really good friend that lives an hour away and catch up with news and have a prayer session.

cosmetics and most toiletries. The drugstore brands will NOT cut it for me (for moral and quality reasons--- moral-- I don't buy products tested on animals). However I used to work at Bath and Body Works, so I have a ton of thier stuff from when I worked there.

Makeup.... I need my MAC eyeshadow and Bare Escentials. However they last about a year.

                CHOCOLATE.

My first thought when I saw this thread was services we pay for, like Netflix and having our lawn mowed. For the first 10 years or so that we owned our home, I mowed the lawn, but finally gave in and hired someone ($50/month). And until this past February, we only had a roof antenna. We finally splurged and got limited basic cable ($9.99/month), so I definitely consider that one of our little luxuries.

                    Luxuries...

TIME is my number one luxury. I used to work very long hours at a stressful job, but now work from home and that is part-time. So, we have less money, but more TIME to play with the grandkids, to spend with DH and DD3, help my parents...and just enjoy things I like to do. (We more than made up for the less money thing by me home cooking our meals and saving wherever I could)

                    And then:
I have homebrewed coffee- with french vanilla creamer each morning.

We maintain satellite tv, and this is our entertainment most of the time that we want some mindless relaxation. We very rarely go out...and the satellite provides ample options of things to watch.

I will often barbque or cook for the whole family so that we can all get together...that means 13 of us...but it is a luxury to me!!! Family time is priceless!!

I hate to admit it, but sport cars are our biggest luxury!

                        hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm
                        Well lets see
I use Merl Norman Base makeup. It is 17.00 a container.... But it lasts twice as long as the walmart type so Ya have to divide it into two.....equals $8.50 which is about the cost of covergirl base makeup
                        Now here is a whooper!
I get a special Spiril perm (MUCH NEEDED NOW) once a year!
                        It costs 110.00
But in turn I can cut my own hair and I just fluff and go so not many gels and goo to buy...

Well when Hellman's mayo went up to over $4.55 a bottle awhile back it was certainly feeling luxurious to buy it! Thankfully here at least the prices have come way down!

I would say my little luxuries are the following:

oberweiss ice cream once a week (or so)
                              gold coast hot dog
surfing on the net an extra hour a week (sometimes)
shopping at the mall on paydays

I treat myself often and regularly and spend very little doing it.

Re: What are your little luxuries?

Don't know about the "little luxuries", but I've got a major luxury planned.

Right now, I don't own any kitchenware (or, indeed, even any furniture). I'm using my roommate's (cheap and crappy) kitchenware.

In two years or so, when I'm ready to set up house (possibly with the SO, if all goes well), I'm going to buckle down and get nice, quality kitchenware. I want *good* knives, a full set of pots and pans, and baking equipment; mandoline, KitchenAid stand mixer, and breadmaker; balance and thermometer probes. The works. Second-hand is fine, so long as I can't discern a drop in quality.

I am so looking forward to having a well-stocked kitchen. I can't wait. Cooking is how I treat myself.
