Kind of figured that is what you would have. Lots of people don't like poodles, but they are rated the 2nd smartest dog in all the breeds.

2 cats (formally inside cats, but now barn cats because my husband is allergic to them-but when mice come in, and he's not home....they are indoor cats again-don't tell on me), 5 horses, 2 dogs, fish, 1 hamister, 1 rabbit, and 2 of the cows are kinds of like pets-they think they are anyway and they do get treated a little more special (for 4h cows) than the others.

We had 2 Betta fish, and we just adopted a retired racing greyhound last month - she's 4 years old. She doesn't bark and she doesn't shed
While growing up my family had a miniature collie and 2 cats.

We don't have any. We rent and pets are not allowed. But honestly I'm enjoying not having the responsibilities and bills that pets bring. I know things will change if/when we move to a place that allows pets because DH has already made it clear he wants a dog

Not that I hate animals, I love them. I just don't want to own any anymore.

I have one kitty. I'd be the "crazy cat lady" if he wasnt so agressive towards other cats.

I have three dogs and one cat. I'd be in a mental institution without them!!

I have three cats. I adopted two kittens from a shelter for "grief therapy" when my at-the-time 15-year-old cat died. He only took to them when we went from oil heat to natural gas heat, and the vents weren't as warm as he'd like. The 15-year-old did die, and ten days later I got his replacement, a Burmese kitten.

Snap! We have three cats; two are currently kittens (well, teen cats - about 6 months old). In May we lost our 17 year old queen, and had decided not to replace her as we still had two 6 year old toms. Well, in July one of our toms had what appeared to be an intestinal obstruction - but when they operated on him they found a huge liver tumour. We decided not to let him wake up.

Well, losing two cats within two months was too much. I checked out our local cat rescue and found that they had two kittens left out of a batch of ten (!) that had been abandoned on a country road. So, we found ourselves with a brother and sister who have gone (in the kitty world) from rags to riches. They are black and white (tuxedo or Jellicle cats) who we've named Oreo and Cookie.

Cookie, the little princess, goes in to be spayed next Monday. I hope she does well, because I think a third heartbreak would just kill my kids.

My little Holly is only 5 pounds. The vet wanted to spay her when she was about 2 months old. She was only about a pound and I could not stand the thought of that. so now she is six and still not spayed. I won't let her have puppies, but I could not bear to have her fixed.
