    Re: Advice appreciated! Employment question...

Thanks, you guys. You all give such wonderful advice.

Thrifty Ray, to answer your question, yes, health insurance is part of the benefit package...it's pretty standard for the university. We get all the standards...medical, dental, vision, a pension plan, a retirement fund, and a few other good benefits...generous amounts of sick leave and vacation leave, one paid personal day per fiscal year, free tuition (up to 6 credits per semester), an employee assistance program that includes counseling benefits if needed, etc. I have been very happy with the benefits, and I will get the same package at the new job.

I would tend to agree that my current boss' tactic of "scaring" me is not the best way for him to go. It truly does not make me trust him any more than I do right now. The more I think about it, the more that I think that I made the right decision. Let's just hope that I can be strong tomorrow morning when they try to talk me into staying.

How'd things go, Sadie? Were you cornered? Are you feeling okay about your decision?

      Just curious...
