  • Pro Tip: Ride Your Bike To The Grocery Store

    All - here is a shopping/savings hack.

If you just have to pick up one or two things, walk or ride your bike to the store.

You can't buy or carry a lot, you'll save on gas in the car and you'll keep yourself from impulse buying.

    Don't forget to use coupons.

Riding a bike is a death sentence around here. Not a great idea.

I like the idea of going to the grocery store with a budget. Once per week, buy what you need. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also, going to the grocery store after you've eaten a heavy meal and are definitely not hungry seems to help curb any impulse purchases.
      History will judge the complicit.

UA Guy, where do you live that you can't ride a bike?

Down an old road with blind corners and no shoulders, not even wide enough for two vehicles. Once you make it out to the main road, there's basically no shoulder and locals are militant towards bicyclists because of the hazards they create. Miles and miles of riding a bike just to get to a grocery store. I suppose it would be good exercise, but not worth the risk!
