When I was working, I saved about 40% of my income. However, I also made enough money to do that; i.e. middle class. Sometimes wehn people make too little money it is just not possible to put away 10%. What about rich people who lives off investment income? It could be said that they save 0% (if they use all all income) or 99% (if their investment is large).
