  • How much is your cell phone bill?

I'm trying to get mine as low as possible. I'm thinking about going with a company like ting or republic wireless.

    How much do you pay?
How much data are you getting?
Is it a single or group plan?
    What's the provider?

    Thanks for any help!!!

    $30.80
I don't know how much data, but since most of it is wifi, we haven't gone over.
    Single plan
    Republic Wireless

The cellular coverage hasn't been as seamless as when we were with Verizon, but I don't mind so much with the much cheaper rate.

This year we have paid, on average, $15 per month on Ting. We share a plan with my parents but this is our half of the bill (for 2 adults).

It's so cheap because we get several months free for referring people to Ting. Full price runs us $25 per month, if we keep data to 500MB.

The other nice thing about Ting is that you only pay for what you use. I think we maybe used more minutes and data than usual the last couple of months, but it's not a big hit to go to the next tier. We were charged a whole extra $5 for using 1000MB this past month. It would be another $5 if we wanted to use 2000MB (& I don't think we ever have used anywhere near that much).

Mine is embarrassingly high at $80 per month, but I'm a huge data junkie, and that price is for unlimited 4G LTE. I've priced it with other major carriers, and based on my regular data usage, my phone bill would double with them.

However, I am working on lowering it in the near future.

No Data, just Talk and Text.

                  Ours is $217.

That's with AT&T for 5 phones, 4 of which are iPhones. So an average of $43.40/phone/month. The 5 phones represent 3 households - my wife, daughter, and me; my mother; and my cousin.

The good thing (for us at least) is that my cousin actually pays most of the bill - $145/month. That leaves us owing only $72/month for the 3 of us. It's a long story why that is but the bottom line is he covers himself and my mom and a share of our bill. Plus my daughter pays $20 toward her bill. So my wife and I actually only spend a grand total of $52/month when you add it all up.

                    AT&T $64

unlimited talk, text, 3gb data that rolls over (I really wanted that rollover but you have to use it the following month or it's gone, they say they are changing this to a more true (honest) rollover, we'll see)

no contract, last phone I got was iPhone 5s for either free or $50. I am "due" for a phone they say, I in no way need or want one, assume I'll be put back under contract if/when they offer a free phone I want/need. But I don't think I was put back under contract when I got the 5s? I'll have to find out.

seems like too much at times but this turned out to be cheaper than the previous plan I had with them, where I actually exceeded talk/text by not using landline anymore and that plan only had 1gb data, no rollover. I don't know if I can get this good anywhere else, I need to re-read some threads on here. MMM has this guy that cell phone deals are his thing. But honestly, some of it sounded too complicated to save $10. I have to re-read that all again, as well.

always ask for company discount, I save 24% even though now disabled, they will honor the 24% as long as I stay a customer. Leave and come back, the 24% is gone

$160.28 actual bill price after taxes and stuff
                      AT&T
                      15GB shared across 4 phones
                      Unlimited text/talk
No contract (who does that nay more?)
With the AT&T mobile app I can shut off a line's data if they go over their allowance

We bought our own phones off CL and Ebay: 3 iphones and an android

bear with me, I still don't get how getting a free iPhone that suits your needs, but puts you back under contract, but the contract is reasonable, why is this so awful? I don't understand why I should buy an unlocked iPhone just to end up with no contract but the monthly services and cost are really close to the contract plan. What am I missing?

I am pretty sure they said I can stay month to month and wait for a free phone I like but I have to double check

I don't understand what people have against having a contract either. As long as the price is right, I don't see why it matters.

Great to see all these suggestions! Mine seems significantly higher than a lot of these so definitely going to shop around and see if I can get it lower. Thanks for the inspiration

                              $175
                              Verizon
Sharing 6gb with unlimited talk/text for 3 devices.

Way too high in my opinion. We will be switching to a no contract plan from
cricket wireless later this year when our contract is up with Verizon. Will save us about $90 per month.
