No. It's a nice library, but I never go there.

I have nothing against my library, but it's just one of those things. Who has the time you know.....Originally posted by scfr View PostForgot to mention that if I have time when I am at the library I sit down and read The Wall Street Journal. For those who don't currently use the library, any plans to give it a try?
My schedule is pretty busy. When I have free time it's usually later at night. The library is already closed by then.
I usually just end up using Google to look things up.Brian

Everyweek! we love the activites for the kids
We are always getting books, cd's, magizines... But I love the kids activities. Music/singing time for the kids. Activity time. Book reading........ we go to both our town and the town next door because they have different activities for the kids on different schedules! We love free entertainment.

I used to use it quite a lot when I was younger, but don't really see much use to it. A lot of information can be found freely on the internet, many books I would otherwise go to the library for, can be found for free (usually) if you are skilled enough with a search engine.
Small digression here, I honestly think schools need to teach lessons on Google Search. It may sound ridiculous but VERY few people actually use search engines like Google properly. Keeping in mind that infinite knowledge is infinite power, it would shock most people to find out just how much power they actually have access to on what is essentially the world's largest free library.

I've used the public library buy very few times indeed. I am obviously missing out on a lot and maybe spending money that I shouldn't be spending on books that may actually not be worth reading. I think I'd go get me a library card. Thanks for the tip.

I love my public library! Ever since I "rediscovered" it I pretty much stopped buying books.
Pro tip: often your library has access to pay-only sites. E.g. my library in San Francisco gives you free access to a few investment sites including Morningstar (which costs a lot of $$!). COOL!

We have a fantastic library close by that we love going too. We read at a pace of about 3 books a week, me 1 and my wife usually gets through 2 a week, so we would spend a fortune if we were buying all these books. We also have free DVD rentals and our library can order us books from anywhere within the state including major Universities, so we can basically find any book we want.
