  • Restoring some old tables

I got a coffee table and two end tables for free last week.
The intent was to use them at our cabin, but they needed some love, so I sanded the coffee table down and gave it a fresh coat of stain.
It still needs poly, and I have to do the end tables, but I'm happy with how it is turning out.
Attached is a side by side comparison of how the original end tables look next to the coffee table after I sanded and stained it.

Looks like a fun project. It pains me to see old furniture (real wood!) discarded, so I'm thrilled to hear this stuff is getting a new life!
    History will judge the complicit.

      Definitely.
I was expecting some old IKEA style particle board furniture when I was asked if I wanted some free tables.
It was a pleasant surprise to see that they were made of real solid wood and that I could restore them
