But only one party paints the world like the apocalypse is coming. "Hillary Clinton, if elected to be president, will bring the destruction of this great country". That's a freaken quote by you know who. Because you know, the Syrian refugees are coming...you better hide your kids, hide your wife, because they be raping everyone up in here.

LoL, love the gif. There's nothing smaller than 70 deaths in 10 years out of 300 million people. There are more people dying from sitting, sleeping, eating, walking, running, or literally anything else than death by ISIS.

I am of the belief that one American death caused by a terrorist is one too many.

There is some legitimate fear that comes with bringing in a bunch of foreign refugees. About 15 years ago, my little midwestern town lured a large meat processing plant in. Despite many warnings of what was coming from other communities, etc. our government leaders rolled out the red carpet for this company. They were primarily interested in the money the company would spend on local taxes, utilities, etc.

The company has several thousand, manual labor, low paying jobs and we now have a huge influx of poor minorities in the community. Once nice neighborhoods have deteriorated and look like crap, crime and drugs are at an all time high, had a drive by shooting last week, the schools are overwhelmed with large numbers of kids on free lunches, free breakfast, and can't pay their book fees, etc., the local hospital emergency room gets slammed with unnecessary visits by those that won't pay their bills, we have lots of undocumented illegals, etc.

I'll bet if you asked any of those former city fathers about the decision to bring this company in now, most would admit it was a terrible mistake.

            Similar Problems in this region.

The boom in natural gas drilling and fracking has brought in a huge influx of workers from out of state. A lot of them are rather shady characters. Some have criminal records. The oil fields don't discriminate when it comes to their labor force.

Now, once quiet communities are seeing huge spikes in crime, drug use and dealing, murders, and robberies. It would appear that a lot of the southern states have exported their criminals to the north east.

The city I live in in VT is going to be bringing in 100 Syrian refugees starting shortly. It's incredible how divided the city/state almost to the point you'd think someone's going to burn down city hall. It seems that most of the city is excited and welcoming of them, particularly because we've been dwindling in numbers and this could bring new businesses to the area. Plus we already have a bunch of drug and crime issues so can't get much worse.

I can grant you that, but that's assuming we have zero crime in the U.S that causes human death. Since we don't, and there are many more deaths caused by all sorts of people in the U.S, why are we putting so much weight, time, and resources on something that barely cause any death? Are you saying it's okay for our own citizens (gangs, white supremacists, home grown terrorists) to kill each other but not ISIS? There was some white kid that shot up a black church..I don't see a war on white kids.....

I witnessed the impact it has had on a local school district. A local charity housed a lot or refugees in a particular school district, and that school district is required my law to educate them. Of course by not speaking English, they brought the average test scores down. The drop of test scores had an impact on Government funding. The reduced funding had an impact on jobs within the school district.

My comment wasn't assuming anything about crime in the U.S. I am PRO Death Penalty.

The people..like you and I, can paint whatever picture we want about a candidate because we have no power..we don't have the ability to rally up a crowd to get them to think the same way you and I do.

This is why you don't have Hillary (leader) saying that...except that Trump is dangerous because he doesn't want to concede to the loser and that he hints at using second amendment rights to fix a "rigged election". She may have painted him as an asshole unfit to serve, but never a fascist. On the other hand, Trump is painting Hillary as a crooked politician who founded ISIS...so now you have Trump supporters so angry that they are willing to start a revolution..and with Trump not conceding(if he loses), that just feeds more into the notion.

You know what will happen the next 4 years if Hillary or Trump are in the white house? Not a thing...but this anger and fear created by Trump will cause all sorts of social unrest that will affect me at home. Hillary tries to do the whole lets unite thing with slogans like "stronger together", but even her loyal base are firing bombing republican offices.

I asked the question the other day..how will people of different political opinions ever become friends after this election? Will this even end some marriages?

He has got the crooked politician part right.

And although I agree that this election is on the extreme side, I am sure it won't be the first election to cause a divorce.

I have heard that many times from the left. Many, many, many times.

                            Total fear merchants.

In case you haven't heard...gun sales are way up, particularly gun purchases by women who are expressing fear and their need for self protection against 'other people.' Problem is the opposite has happened, guns are causing injuries to others within their own household. Latest on the news was a 2 y/o who fund a gun in the car and accidentally shot her grandmother.

I'm not sure I heard it correctly, is the government not allowed to research gun violence?
