Seeing the debate in a Truly impartial forum, where there is zero corporate allegiance, would be best for the nature of the people. It's hard for me to express how little faith, trust, or interest I hold for the establishment media (either side, they are pretty garbage these days...)
While I cannot stand either Trump AND Biden, that idea on paper sounds awesome, for even a JRE fan, like myself. But for him, or any sane person to actually agree to be a moderator of debate between those two clowns, is either naive or crazy to actually pull it. That, and even if Biden eventually did agree, there would be some other excuse from the DNC or RNC.

Rogan is not an interviewer or moderator, but a great conversationalist, whether you love or hate him. That's what makes his podcast so successful. His format allows guests on all sides for engaging discussion (when he's not talking about DMT). Just the episodes that had Bernie, Tulsi, Yang on, really opened others' eyes to these previous candidates and policies, than what the media normally would portray them as. It's no wonder Biden, Warren, Buttigieg parties all begged to be on his show shortly after Bernie was.

I'd love to see if Rogan could simply have them TALK about their own policies or views, or interact with each other without yelling or having a tantrum, and even talking about personal lives outside politics. I think would be more interesting to listen to. Again, I realize it's not gonna happen.

As for your mention of a 3rd party candidate option, that's all I'd want in the debates, going forward. But I'm not holding my breath.

"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

I really ought to know this but I don't. Is there a 3rd party candidate who is on the ballot in all 50 states this year? I think there were six 3rd party candidates on the NJ ballot but I don't know how many of them have a national campaign.

So now the press secretary and 2 members of her team have also tested positive. I'd stay far away from the White House right now. I think that's 10 or more people from the SCOTUS event.

He's expected to be discharged and return to the WH tonight. A win for him, it sounds like. Hopefully they can keep him quarantined for as long as he's still infectious.

I have absolutely no problem with SS. First off, my wife and I will directly benefit from it. Even if one of us dies early, the other will benefit. Had anything happened to me before my daughter turned 18, she would have benefited. If one of us becomes disabled, we'd benefit. And I have no issue with contributing to a safety net that helps keep poor older and disabled Americans out of poverty. A lot of people "can't save a buck" because they aren't capable of working or they earn so little that they can barely get by. I'm happy to help with that through the SS system.
I have no problem with SS as well. It was a post reflecting on government needing programs to babysit people because not everyone can make it without it. Just because I don't need a baby sitter doesn't mean I don't acknowledge baby sitters are important.

They couldn’t even get him to quarantine while he was IN the hospital so we shall see.

I think that Trump does as he pleases, irrespective of what his aides advise. Or doctors. Or scientists.

That's a good question. Off the top of my head I thought Jo Jorgenson (Libertarian Party) and Howie Hawkins (Green Party) were, but I could be wrong.

I just checked my absentee ballot for MN. Under Federal Offices, besides the two main clowns to pick from, the other candidates listed are Roque "Rocky" De La Fuente (Independence-Alliance), Kanye West (Independent), Brock Pierce (Independent), Gloria La Riva (Socialism and Liberation), Alyson Kennedy (Socialist Workers Party), with the other two as Jorgensen, and Hawkins.

I'd be pissed if i worked in the hospital that the president gets to flout all rules of public health in a hospital. Of course we should all bow down like a dictator. I would say this if Joe Biden did this stupid things as well. Right now I wonder how many other republicans would dare act so narrcisstically?

Also press corps are getting infected. If I were reporting on the WH I would be telling my paper what are we going to do? The press corps are infected from stupidity.

I know some media outlets have refused to cover Trump's rallies recently due to the lack of adherence to COVID precautions. I would love to see the media refuse to send their reporters to the WH going forward. Either that or they need to start holding press briefings outdoors with proper social distancing and mandatory masks for EVERYONE including the speakers.

Well apparently Rudy Guiliani was coughing on fox news during the entire interview with martha maccallum and I wonder what she was thinking?

The President's advisor, Stephen Miller, has now tested positive.

Guiliani said he was waiting for his test result so we'll see if he gets added to the list.

Just got an update, Dr. Jo Jorgensen will be on the ballot in all 50 states this year. (Link for anyone interested https://www.lp.org/ballotaccess/)

For Green Party, I am not sure if Howie made it on all the 50 tickets.

I would NEVER voter shame anyone, as it's awful to shame people into growing their minds. People should grow their opinions by hearing stronger more effective ones. I strongly urge everyone to consider what policies they believe in and why they believe in them. Then follow your mind and heart.

I am not as interested in corporate interest being put first. Which is arguably my strongest policy (get corporate money out of politics - or at least severely reduce it to non-essential industries). Either would be great.... And that is why my policy's are not really supported by the current (2) establishment parties.

I think as cable entertainment news popularity continues to dwindle with the passing of the greatest generation. The true balance of populism has a cautiously optimistic future. My expectations is I will get the change I am hoping for our country, in the 2024-2032 range. I have 1% hope for this cycle. But again.... keep in mind. You are able bodied, motivated, and have the good fortune to be capable enough to compete with average american workers in the employment market. Then at BEST the gov't is only taking 20-30% of your money/Effort/time to spend as they please (i consider 10-20% in actual taxes, and the remaining 10-20% to be in Forced tax through high health care costs).

So I can be pretty happy only keeping my 70% and living a completely happy life. But I think with more thoughtful spending, waste reduction, and re-calibrating the motivating factors in SOME industries (healthcare, prisons, defense, environment,) we can really get that number closer to keeping 80-90% of your effort/time/income. Which ought to make everyone a little more joyful and feel in-control of their lives.

                              *quietly stands off soap box*

President Trump’s positive coronavirus test is ‘good’ for the stock market.
Count it as another thing for investors to worry about. His claims of mail-in voting fraud and actual reports of absentee ballot mishaps have already put many investors on edge as they fear that election results on November 3 may be contested and potentially lead to a protracted battle that could end up in the Supreme Court.
