IT depends what you're looking for, but you usually get better results if you put a site:digg.com or site:del.icio.us before you query term in google. Still using Google, but using it to get better results.

Depends what you're after. Digg and other such social news sites are good for news related items. Stumbleupon can be useful if you have a good quality network of friends.

For general search though Google is still king.
