  • How do you surf the blogs?

I'm just curious about how most of you read through the blogs, because there appears to be several ways to do it.

Personally, I prefer the "All Entries" method, so that I can read everyone's entries without clicking through all the blogs.

    What about you?

I read the headings and click on any I like (I usually click the blog link, not the entry, so I can read past ones that I prolly missed), then I also find the couple I really like to see if they had anything new....there are not many and I often make a point to peek at 'latest blog entry' while posting for the less frequent bloggers.

Heh, I find if I am really avoiding say dishes, I read any entry, just to read it

I used to look through the summary page, but would the headlines would catch my eye and I would end up reading every single entry (not a bad thing, but I do have time constraints - in other words, I don't want to stay up till midnight anymore reading blogs!). Now I scan thorugh the "All Entries" so I can see what really looks interesting. If I didn't happen to catch any of my faves, I will go to "All blogs" to catch up on my favorites.

In a slightly related note, I've found a great article on why people should blog. The author's perspective is more cerebral than emotional, but it contains many great insights.

It depends on time constraints. If I've got all the time in the world, I'll read almost everyone's new posts on the blog summary page, and check all my favorite blogs too if they aren't there already. If I'm short on time, I just check my favorites, and entries that have a particularly catchy title.
