Really confused over CCdebt

Okay so i am only 22 so i dont have a lot of experience with morgages etc but i went through the who is in debt thread and saw a lot of people with CC debt 20,30 even 80 grand in debt... How? i have a credit card and i get scared when i use around 300 of my 2100 limit? i am not really a good saver and i waste my money but how do people get into that situation?
