We were in Shaws today getting a few odds and ends. I saw shelf tag that said buy $30 these brands, get $15 coupon good on your next visit. The brands included Progresso, Pillsbury, Knorr, Ragu, and Cheerios. One of the things on the long-term shopping list was soup and DH likes Progresso. On the "we need it NOW" list, Cheerios, so we stocked up. I didn't buy anything I normally would not have, but I bought 8 cans of soup instead of the usual 4, for example. We'll use it, DH eats soup for lunch almost all winter (he works at home most of the time) so it IS stuff we would have bought, just not all at once.
We went through the register, no catalina.
I had to pull the shelf tag and give it to the CSR. The manager went through and said, "Give it to her." So they gave me $15 in cash.
The tag, interestingly enough was in the spice aisle! Not with the tomato sauce, refrig. bread, cereal, etc. that was in the deal. It expires 11/27. I wouldn't do this at a Shaws unless you found the shelf tag, like I did. It says on the tag the details are in the flyer, but it wasn't in ours.
