  • Salsa Recipes?

I am hoping to make up some of my own homeade type salsa. I was hoping that someone could pass on a tried and true recipe... preferably not too expensive to make..

Here are the ingredients *I* know of so far to make salsa...

    Tomatoes
    Onions
    Bell Pepper
    Jalapenos
    Cilantro (love this)
    ----
But I don't know how to make it. Does it have vinegar or lots of other ingredients? I am open to whatever you or your family likes to make. I will try just about anything, and the spicier the better Thanks!!!

    Mexican Salsa

1 medium onion (peeled and cut in half)(sweet is best)

1 can diced tomato (15 oz)

1 Tbsp. Chef Series Southwest Chipotle Seasoning Blend

    2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro (optional)

2 cloves garlic (peeled and smashed)

    Lime juice (1/2 lime)

Quarter onion: Chop in Quick Chef using blade. Add remaining ingredients; cover and turn handle until desired consistency. Serve with Chips for dipping.

from my tupperware lady, DH loved it..I don't eat salsa

      Very simple....

Take a can of black beans (drained), mix in can of corn }(drained), rinse them well, add a dollop of sour cream....PRESTO, black bean salsa!!

          HOT salsa

          When tomatoes are in season-
2 or 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
          1/2 C onion, finely chopped
1/2 C colored peppers, finely chopped
1/4 - 1/2 habenero pepper, finely chopped or 1 jalapeno
tomato sauce - until "right" consistency
          salt and pepper

Make early in the day and let it sit in the fridge. Can also add black beans and corn for a change.
