Here is a great recipe for Pecan Pie. With the holidays right around the corner, it’ll be great to have at the family get together or your holiday party.
Chocolate Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
1/2 (15 oz.) pkg - refrigerated pie crusts
2 tbsps. - butter or margarine
1/2 cup - semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup - Florida Crystals Organic Brown Sugar, firmly packed
2/3 cup - light corn syrup
4 - large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. - vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. - salt
1 1/2 cups - chopped pecans
whipped cream (optional)
Preparation:
Fit piecrust into a 9 inch pie plate according to package directions. Fold edges under and crimp. Line piecrust with aluminum foil and fill crust with pie weights or dried beans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove weights and foil. Cool.
Microwave butter and chocolate morsels in a microwave-safe bowl at high for 1 minute 30 seconds (stirring every 30 seconds).
In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla and salt. Add chocolate mixture, whisking until blended. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into piecrust and place on baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until set. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
