Yes, there are a number of harbor freight stores here in Portland, Oregon as well. They usually have heavy duty and good quality tools...unlike say WalMart or Kroger.

There are tons of sites out there that evaluate their products. Some of their stuff is sourced Chinese products that you can find on Amazon with similar prices.

I like going there for: 5 mil gloves, tarps, bungee cords, lightweight ratcheting tie-down straps, tape, chains, cheap funnels for car work, torque wrench, 1/2" deep socket impact sockets, small hand tools, multi-tool, car jack, cheap paint brushes, oil filter wrench, step drills, allen wrenches, clamps...gosh I didn't realize how much I get there until I started typing this!

We just put a nice Predator engine on our go kart this past weekend. Bought from HF on sale and with a coupon. We also have an inverter for charging the phones and watching DVD's in the car. It gets almost daily use for 4 years and still going strong. HF is great for a lot of thing, but I wouldn't buy something for $30 that is $200 for something similar in every other store. It will only end in tears.
