Guys,

This is a public service announcement from a forum reader:

Publix in Birmingham AL no longer doubles coupons or surrounding areas...Hueytown Bessemer Hoover etc.

No penny item either, won't take Target coupons as competitors any more or Winn Dixie. I noticed their prices keep going up and up and up and they are the highest already on most items so i will be looking for other places that still double coupons to shop. just thought you might want to let everyone know. i see it still has that publix doubles on your site. thanks

I have never been to a store that doubles coupons. It just doesn't happen around here.

It's been standard practice around here for as long as I can remember. Even as a kid, I remember it being a thing. And occasionally one chain would run a special where they did triple coupons.

The grocery store I go to automatically doubles coupons that are $0.50 or less (I think that is the cutoff).

I did some fact checking on this with Publix public relations.
