water bugs its whats for dinner

my wife brought home this chili sauce last night, thickened with crushed up water bugs. im glad she told me what was in it. she really doesnt eat too much wierd stuff mainly bugs and animal blood/organs but her mom dad and brother will eat anything that moves. rats, lizards, wasp/ant eggs, frogs, small birds.... if it moves its edible, you ever eat any wierd stuff

its now 8 days unrefrigerated after i posted the pic and the stuff is ripe right now, she brought it out to eat with dinner tonight and i got a few good whiffs of it, she said it gets better with age

My heart goes out to you, that food sounds awful man. People should not be required to eat insects as part of loving and supporting their spouse. Insects can be tasty, but here in the US they aren't usually on the menu.

Have you considered talking about this with your wife?
