I am a big BBQ fan so I will celebrate the day with some delicious steaks. Really looking forward to the party with my friends and family. I will do BBQ not only because it's tradition. I just love the taste of grilled meat and the outdoor atmosphere.

[QUOTE=RedThunderBird;226408] I wonder if the taste is different using propane or old good carbon / wood? QUOTE]

This could be a discussion in and of itself. I do both. Usually propane when time is tight and wood/charcoal when I have the time to get the coals right. My preference is either wood or charcoal.

I think time on the grill may make the difference between whether coals or propane is better. For something quick like steaks or fish it probably isn't a big difference. For something like ribs or chicken, that take longer, I thinks coals definitely add to the flavor.

GREENBACK- Ranchers Reserve is brand of meats that’s only available at Safeway stores. All of the meat is hand selected and has a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I've heard of "Safeway" stores but am not sure if they're in my area(Ohio). I'll give it a try if they are.

I think so too. I use propane mostly for the convienence.

Now winter is starting and it will be very exciting to go on hill station and managing a BBQ party.
